Today saw yet another tasting session come and go. (see the tasting notes for details.)The evening kicked off on time, with the usual suspects in attendance. A couple of beers, some wine, and then the breaking of the seal on the Bowmore. The whisky was chased with a few games of 5 card stud, and plenty of cheating. There is no other way any-one can end up with 5 kings in one hand (is there, John?) John was kind enough to sacrifice a bottle of Aberlour 10yo when the Bowmore vanished, so that was opened and finished as well. John hosted the event, and snacks were not in short supply. ( A mountain of sausage rolls, followed by an equally large amount of garlic bread). Philosophical discussions followed after the card games, and the evening ended quietly some time after mid-night.
