Macallan -
Single Highland Malt Whisky - Aged 12 years - 43% vol
Having already sampled a few bottles earlier in the year, we
finally managed an "official" tasting of The Macallan. It was just as we remembered it. Strong in colour, with a strong nose
for a highland malt. The taste was very smooth, with a lasting aftertaste. Comments ranged from "a certain sweetness to it" to
"very pleasant". John wasn't overly enamoured with it, but we have recently developed a taste for the Islay, and judgements
might have been clouded as a result. Altogether, a well rounded malt that will be had again.
