Laphroaig -
Single Islay Malt Whisky - Aged 10 years - 57.3% vol
Having
already tasted the 10 year old and the 15 year old, we were all
eagerly anticipating the "straight from the wood". Once
again, the initial taste was done without adding water. The nose
was fantastic, and although it tasted great, the general
consensus was that at 57.3%, it needed a tiny drop of the
mineral.... Once that was added, the appreciation levels
rocketed. The true aroma was released, and the taste was without
equal.
